The first phase of the 13th edition of Foiling Week has come to a close. Until July 5th, the international event continues to bring the global foiling community together in Malcesine. Hosted by Fraglia Vela Malcesine, the programme brings together athletes, classes, designers, boat builders, companies, national federations and enthusiasts from around the world, combining racing, innovation, on-water trials, public experiences and discussions dedicated to the future of foiling.

From June 27th to July 5th, Malcesine once again becomes the world’s “Foiling Capital”, welcoming athletes, teams, companies and leading figures from across the international foiling community.
Among the highlights of the Foiling Sport Congress, Ferrari Hypersail, Red Bull Italy SailGP, Francesca Clapcich and Ambrogio Beccaria will discuss Italy’s increasingly influential role on the global foiling stage.

Harken, a global leader in the manufacture of deck hardware and sailing systems for sailing and motor yachts, has announced a new three-year partnership agreement with Foiling Week, becoming Racing Partner of the event starting with its 13th edition, scheduled to take place from June 27th to July 5th at Fraglia Vela Malcesine on Italy’s Lake Garda.

The twelfth edition of Foiling Week came to an end today in Malcesine with the awarding of the winners of the largest BirdyFish fleet ever on a racing course. Victory went to the Italian crew of Federico Bonalana and Marco Alberti after 12 fiercely contested races, where they came out on top ahead of fellow Italians Carlo Brenco and Andrea Felci, and the British team of Oliver Bond and Robin Russell.

The opening phase of racing has already delivered record-breaking numbers: 131 registered athletes in the WASZP class, marking the highest turnout ever at Foiling Week for this class, and 32 boats on the water in the Switch One Design fleet, the largest ever gathered.
