FOILING WEEK MALCESINE – 12th Edition
June 23rd to 29th, 2025
In keeping with the event’s tradition of dedicating each edition to a socially relevant theme, Foiling Week 2025 will be inspired by #regeneration, a global approach to climate crisis, weaving biodiversity, human dignity, justice and climate into a mosaic of transformation actions that can end the climate crisis in one generation.
Since 2014, we have established our playground on Lake Garda
A club that has in its DNA the creation of regattas of excellence. Here’s where Olympic classes have always been trained and boats destined to make sailing history are tested.
The regularity of its sparkling wind conditions, together with the quality of the hospitality services and infrastructures ashore, make Lake Garda one of the most exciting locations for sailors worldwide.
Worldwide lovers of the outdoors have chosen it as a reference point for the incredible variety of disciplines that can be practiced in the area.
RACING CLASSES
(more to come…)
The International Moth is a high-speed, development sailing class with 90 years of continuous innovation. The modern day carbon fibre foiling boats reach speeds of over 30 knots.
The Waszp is an Australian, single-handed, hydrofoiling sailboat designed by Andrew McDougall as a one-design racer for youth and adults, and first built in 2016.
Conceived by Jean-Pierre Dick, and designed by Guillaume Verdier, the ETF26 was born to reach new frontiers of speed and performance. It is perfect for high-speed races and has a proven track record in being able to adapt to different weather conditions: from 8 to 20 knots and 2.5 times windspeed.
The concept was born from an observation, how to learn to foil when few foil boats are accessible to neophytes of flight. This foiling dinghy had to be stable, safe while keeping the sensations of flight, frank acceleration and high speed.
Any sailor will have the chance to enjoy the thrill of foiling on a full carbon composite, state of the art dinghy. Switch will give sailors the thrill of racing in a one design high performance foiling class.
MORE THAN JUST A RACE
At Foiling Week, the action goes far beyond the racecourse. While a more than a hundred Moths zip by on the water, you might be sipping wine during a local tasting session or chatting about flap angle tweaks with an Olympic medalist. Foiling Week is a natural hub for networking. Industry leaders, athletes, startups and sailing fans all gather to exchange ideas and shape the future. Whether you’re here to compete, explore, connect, or simply soak up the vibe, Foiling Week is your gateway to the future of sailing — on and off the water.
A package of 3 illustrated posters 100x70cm showing the History of Foiling and its most meaningful moments.
The revenues will go towards the costs of a number of We Are Foiling initiatives, such as training programs dedicated to female and youth sailors and the free foiling boat test sessions held during Foiling Week.
